In June 2017 I had to make an “adult” choice my scheduled Disney World trip in October and have a car that might not survive the crazy New England winter or cancel my trip then get a reliable car. In the end I canceled my trip and that left my 84 points for 2016 and my 100 points for 2017 that would not get used. In early July 2017 I decided that I should rent out my points for 2016 and 2017 to make a dent in my new car payment. I looked into several websites and I found David’s Vacation Club Rental to have the best payment option. Since I own at a high demand property I will be making $14 a point, I will get 75% when I book and 25% when the guest checks in.
So let’s get a timeline. I submitted an application in the late afternoon and within 2 hours I was sent the rental agreement (I wrote in my points, use month, membership number, and contact information in the application). All of this is put in the rental agreement which you reply to the e-mail to agree. After reading so many positive reviews on several Disney boards and also Facebook I am not worried about the process. When a customer wants to use my points someone at the company will verify availability and contact me to book. Once I book then I will get 75% through PayPal.
A few days after returning the rental agreement I got an e-mail to book. Unfortunately I did not get back quick enough but within the week I got another e-mail and this time I was the first to respond. Within 10 minutes I was sent the family’s information to book two rooms and I then sent the confirmation to David’s. I then received the 75% payment in my PayPal account within 48 hours.
I will be sent the remainder of the money when the guests check in.
