Blizard Beach is Disney's third water park. It opened April 1, 1995. Every year the park closes from January 4 to March 14 for annual refurbishments. Mount Gushmore is the centerpiece of the park.
The Chairlift can bring up to 3 people in each lift up Mount Gushmore. You need to be 32 inches or taller to ride this.
Cross Country Creek
Cross Country Creek is Blizzard Beach's version of a lazy river. Anyone can ride the tubes along the creek. The usage of the tubes is covered in park admission.
Downhill Double Dipper
This is a tube ride through an inclosed tunnel. You need to be 48 inches or taller to ride this one. The drop is 50 feet and you can get your time at the end of the ride.
Melt Away Bay
Melt Away Bay is a wave pool at Blizzard Beach. Unlike most pools like this you can bring or use the park's intertubes. There is no height limit.
This is a 3 slide ride. The middle slide is for single riders where the outside two can have 2 person tubes. All three slides are different and the slides are about 600 feet long. There is not height requirement for this one.
Ski Patrol Training Camp
This area has a few attractions such as a ice training course, a zip line, enclosed body slide, a tube slide, and an open body slide. The area has no height limit.
This is a body slide down Mount Gushmore. The height requirement is 48 inches. This is not as intense as Summet Plummet which is close by.
This is a 3 slide mat ride for all ages.
This is the most intense slide in the park! Riders must be 48 inches or taller. You will drop 120 feet into a closed in tube and then come out. The slide is 360 feet long.
This is a large group raft ride. The rafts fit 4 to 6 adults, all ages can ride this one. If you have less then 4 riders you may be asked to ride with another group. The ride is 1,200 feet long.
This is a play area for children 48 inches and shorter. A adult must be with the child at all times. There are small open body slides.
This is a mat ride race with 8 lanes. There is no neight requirement. The slides are 250 feet long.
